Research

Erasmus MC will investigate the cause, diagnosis, treatment and late consequences of GBS. There are many specific research projects that you can support:

1. International GBS Outcome Study (IGOS)
   A worldwide study on GBS coordinated by the Erasmus MC, with 2000 patients and many top researchers.
2. Infections and immune reactions as the cause of GBS, see Immunology Erasmus MC.
3. Genetic and other factors that predict the course of disease.
4. Improve the treatment of GBS.
5. Research into residual complaints such as pain and fatigue.
